Hello, and welcome! I’m JR Price, a Senior Manager in Elastic Engineering with over a decade of experience immersed in the dynamic world of technology. I have devoted the last six years to navigating the ever-evolving realm of cloud engineering, dedicated to staying at the bleeding edge of this industry.

I run a few blogs to allow my mental rants to benefit others who may be struggling in these areas. I like to work on topics such as Cloud Native Security, DevOps, and overall leveraging life and technology to its fullest. I also have become very fond of capturing life’s moments with photos and video and to be honest am hoping to be able to pay my way to freeze time around the world.

My passion for leveraging technology to simplify lives, amplify profits, and enhance customer experiences drives my daily work. I have led numerous teams and engineers toward success, developing and implementing various training programs and initiatives that have noticeably increased productivity, security, and consistency.

My guiding principle is a relentless forward drive, fueled by a never-quit attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement. I strongly advocate for knowledge sharing, believing firmly that the strength of a team lies in uplifting and upskilling its members. As inspired by influential figures like Kelsey Hightower and numerous open-source developers, I am devoted to fostering an environment of mutual learning and growth.

My ambition extends beyond my current role, as I aspire to one day serve as a CTO, where I can contribute to shaping an entire organization’s technological trajectory.

Life isn’t all work - when I unplug, you’ll find me embracing my adventurous spirit within the car and off-road scenes. I enjoy capturing the world through the lens of photography and videography, and love the challenge and excitement of event management. Whether it’s on a rugged trail or behind the camera, I strive to ensure everyone involved has a memorable experience.
